DIGITAL FOCUS CONTROL
The B-190TBPL+ features a revolutionary focusing system based on a unique digital control unit. There is a single adjustment knob located on the left side of the instrument.
The knob controls the focus, which has three different resolutions:
– Macro, 250 mm per step (7500 mm per turn of the knob)
– Semi-Micro, 8 mm per step (240 mm per turn of the knob)
– Micro, 1 mm per step (30 mm per turn of the knob)
Selection of the three resolutions is done simply by pressing the knob itself. Repeated operations cycle the focus type in the following order:
Macro → Semi-Micro → Micro, then Macro again, and so on. Three specific LEDs located on the front of the instrument light up according to the selected resolution.

STAGE RETRACTION SYSTEM – ONE TOUCH MEMORY FUNCTIONS
This revolutionary system memorizes the last focus point to facilitate and speed up routine operations that normally cost the operator time and effort:
1. Easy operation of spreading immersion oil
The last focus point (stage height) is automatically memorized by the digital processing unit. This function is very useful when using oil immersion objectives. The procedure is very simple and allows you to switch from the 40x to the 100x objective with an ease never achieved before:
– focus the 40x objective. Its focus point is automatically memorized by the system;
– press the focus knob for 2 seconds; the stage reaches its lowest position, allowing you to easily put a drop of oil on the sample;
– put a drop of oil on the sample and switch from the 40x to the 100x objective;
– press the dedicated button again; the stage rises to the memorized focus position;
– adjust the micrometric focus.
2. Ergonomic slide change operation
By following the above-mentioned procedure, you can save a lot of time when changing slides:
– focus the objective. Its focus point is automatically memorized by the system;
– press the dedicated button located on the microscope body; the stage reaches its lower position, allowing you to easily change the sample;
– change slide;
– press the dedicated button once again; the stage rises to the memorized focus position;
– adjust the micrometric focus.
